New Author Interview With Laura Kennedy

Hey all, exciting news! I’ve finally gotten around to doing author interviews again.   Click here to read the latest interview, which is with author Laura Kennedy, who wrote See Mommy Run.

By the way:  If you are a chick lit author and would like to be interviewed on this website, please contact me.

The sub-genre pages are all being worked on and added to, so make sure to check back from time to time.  I will announce it here on the main page once they are all updated.  Thank you for the suggestions already received.

Enjoy! :)

New Updates, Reviews & Site Information

Wow, is it really already September!? I’ll be 35 near the end of the month, and Fall 2012 will be here in just a few weeks! Eek! :)

Anyway, you all might notice that I’ve been slowly adding new guest reviews sporadically over the past couple of months. We have a couple of guest reviewers but only one who is sending in reviews at the moment. Hopefully that will change soon! I’ve also been adding some of my own older reviews for great books from years past. I’ll soon be adding at least one new review in the next few days and am hoping to add others soon, but it may be a slow month. I’ve read a few books recently but am behind on the actual ‘writing of the reviews’ part. Keep an eye out though, you never know when something new will be added here!

Also, to all the authors and publicists who have emailed about your books: Thank you so much for contacting me! I apologize for not getting back to many of you in a timely manner. At the moment, I do not have any available reviewers for books except for myself and one guest reviewer who is already very busy. I will be putting together a “Recommend Reading/New Books” post very soon and will make sure to include as many as I can in it. (Also keep in mind that there are pretty cheap advertising options available on this site – please contact me for info and rates.)

To chick lit reviewers who would like your reviews to be featured on this site: I’d love to hear from you! If you have written reviews for chick lit novels not already reviewed here (use the search box on the right to double-check), please contact me. Also, if you are a chick lit writer/blogger looking for more exposure, I’m considering adding guest bloggers for this site. This site is visited by hundreds of chick lit readers, publishers, authors and reviewers daily.

Lastly, I’m also working on putting new pages up on this website. It’s a work in progress and when they are done, I’ll be announcing it here.

That’s it for now – I hope all of my US visitors enjoy(ed) your Labor Day!

New Reviewers & Looking For Teen Chick Lit Reviewers – Updated August 21st 2012

Hey all! Happy Friday the 13th!! I am tired and grouchy today for some reason and think I’m going to spend the afternoon reading some fantasy/paranormal chick lit books. :D Or play the Sims 3 – that’s always a good mood lifter.

Anyway, I’m excited to announce we’ve taken on two new guest reviewers here at ChickLitBooks.com. Their names will be revealed with their first reviews, which will hopefully be posted within the next few weeks. :)

However, I am still looking for one or two reviewers for TeenChickLit.com. (There is a new design over there – make sure to go check it out. I updated the coloring and header image, like I have with this site).

I am also looking for maybe one or two more experienced guest reviewers for Chick Lit Books.

Let me know! I may post a couple of reviews myself over the next few days.

Have a wonderful Friday! :D

Updated August 21st, 2012:

We are no longer looking for new reviewers! Thank you!

Updating The Sub Genre Pages

Hey all!  Happy Tuesday.  I wanted to let you all know that I’ve been starting to work on the sub genre pages on this site.  This is a huge undertaking, so it may take a while.  However, it needs to be done!  Some of the names have been/will be changed, and many new books will be added.

So if those pages look weird for a while, don’t be alarmed, it’ll all come together nicely in the end.

I’m also strongly considering changing the colors and header on this website. So, you may notice things look different around here shortly. By the way, if things on the main page look weird, refresh the page and it should look normal again. (Right click your mouse and hit ‘refresh’ or press F5 on your keyboard).

Thanks for your patience. :)

A Quick Personal Update

For anyone who is even remotely interested in following my mostly mundane (but sometimes interesting and strange) life, I finally put up a personal blog, where I plan to write about my everyday life. The link is: www.rianmontgomery.com. There are some posts from a couple of years past from another blog that I merged into the blog.

Enjoy!

New Site Layout & Server Move Nearly Complete

Hey all!  I have finally completed the server move for ChickLitBooks.com.  It’s about 90% done, as I may be making some more changes soon.

You will notice there is now a contact page (located on the menu bar under the site header image).  On that page is a contact form.  Please feel free to use it to send feedback, suggestions, ideas, critiques, etc.  If you are an author and would like me to feature your book on the site, feel free to let me know!

Also, I am looking for reviewers… if you are interested, please contact me and let me know!

Thanks for your patience during this move and site upgrade, and keep an eye out for new changes and updates.  I know I haven’t reviewed a book in quite some time, but plan to do so very soon.

Also, I will be doing a post with some great summer chick lit reading suggestions. Check out the ones on TeenChickLit.com if you already haven’t.

In the meantime, Happy 4th of July to all of my American visitors!

:)
