The Nanny Diaries:These two former Manhattan nannies caught my attention with the humorous portraits of the "rich society" becoming mothers. The book wraps the reader around the life of an educated NYU senior college student (the nanny) from the first interview to the last day at work. It traces the lines of bringing up a child in a posh society that depicts children as accessories instead of human beings. This is a wonderful read that can be read over the weekend or between kids naps. Anyone whom enjoys kids will love this book.

I would also suggest Marian Keyes and Sophia Kinsella as two wonderful authors that fit into this category.
