If you enjoy chick lit novels that are based around serious issues but still somehow keep that personal, readable tone that the genre is known for, then you will love Elasticity. We have three main heroines in this book: Brooke, a shopaholic who can’t seem to get her spending under control, which is a problem since she’s running out of money… and fast. There’s Whitney, who can’t seem to lose weight and keep it off, no matter what diet she tries – and she’s tried them all. Then there is Tripp, who can’t break her addiction to pills, which she basically needs to actually function.
It’s one month before their 10-year high school reunion, and all three women vow to one another that they will use that month to get their problems under control so they can attend the reunion at their best. Continue reading Review: Elasticity

I’ve read a lot of chick lit novels based on Hollywood and fame in my time and I have to say that Hollywood Car Wash is definitely one of my all time favorites. This well-written and fascinating story revolves around Amy Spencer, a small town girl from Michigan who wins a local acting audition that lands her a leading role in a brand new prime time drama TV show called ‘Autumn Leaves’ in Hollywood. For Better, For Worse is one of the funniest books I have EVER read. Filled with hilarious and endearing characters, and mad-cap and suspenseful plot twists, I highly recommend everyone read this book, whether you like chick lit or not. An absolute gem of a book, taking place in New York City and London.

There is nothing quite like old-fashioned and pure romance, especially when it happens in a book that is well written featuring likeable and charismatic characters. To Forgive, Divine by Melissa Leedom is such a book with these qualities. Chock full of endearing characters and set in rural Texas, To Forgive, Divine is a Christian “Chick Lit” book that should not be missed.
